Lime Mortar

Utilizing a time-tested Lime Mortar as opposed to traditional dry sand backing, Fleming Landscaping’s masons build patios, rock work and retaining walls that will last in the harsh mountain environment of Durango, CO for years to come.

Lime mortar is a type of mortar composed of lime and sand aggregate, mixed with water. It is one of the oldest known types of mortar, dating back to the 4th century B.C. and widely used in ancient Rome and Greece, when it largely replaced the clay and gypsum mortars common to ancient Egyptian construction.

Lime Mortar

  • Creates a bond with the stone
